My name is Juan Vargas but all my friends know me as Sum. I’ve been a DJ for about a decade and I’m always interested in making this hobby more than a glorified Spotify playlist. With a background in Computer engineering and a upbring around sound engineers and musicians. I strive to bring the cutting edge of live sets to your show, be it visuals, new audio technology, you want it i’ll get it. This has been a really interesting journey out of my usual day to day.
I was rised listening to latin music but I wanted to always break the mold and would always be listening with my headphones to the newest Drum and Bass artists, Dubstep sensations of the 2010’s and nasty sounds of Hardstyle. Clear to say my family didn’t like the noise wwwww.
I specialize mostly with AniKura a type of japanese remix of songs but I work with many more styles and always like to keep things playful. As to why “SUM” it was the only name I could enter in the DDR arcade machine back in the day…
